About the founder
Founder, TROVE Communications
Tawanda Carlton is a communications strategist with over a decade of experience across journalism, agency work, and in-house communications roles. She founded TROVE Communications on a simple belief: that most organizations have a story worth telling and that the right strategy can make it undeniable.
Her career has taken her across industries from B2B technology and cybersecurity to beauty, healthcare, nonprofit, and startups at every stage. That breadth is not accidental. Tawanda brings a journalist's instinct for what actually makes a story land, combined with the strategic infrastructure to deploy it across earned media, thought leadership, and campaigns that move the needle.
Before launching TROVE, she held both agency and in-house communications roles, giving her a rare perspective: she understands how journalists think, how executives make decisions, and how organizations actually function under pressure. That experience shapes every engagement she takes on.
